April 8. Jonathan Bellingham completed a year long project of chronicling his decade long adventure with FlingGolf, In this 67 page behind-the-scenes personal account of his adventures, he gives the reader insights into how he introduced the sport to all WV State Park golf courses, brought the first national doubles championships to Capon Springs, was the first to play FlingGolf on the Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland, and the founding of the WV professional FlingGolf Club, the Highlandeers. Jonathan explains how all these fantastical adventures eventually led to creating the premier youth development program in the country, FlingForAll.

FlingForAll training series featured in SHAPEWV virtual conference

April 3. Over 30 WV P.E. teachers completed the FlingForAll video training series program, making their students eligible to compete in the National Doubles Pro-Am, held at the Capon Springs resort golf course on May 30. This annual virtual conference was available from March 1- March 31. The in-person event will be on October 23 in Bridgeport, WV, where Jonathan will be able to demonstrate all the features of teaching youth FlingGolf.

Jan. 5. As the World League FlingGolf heads into its 5th year, it took the time to acknowledge Jonathan Bellingham as one of the influential legends who have made a positive impact on the sport. As the first ever Masters champion (55+) and the mastermind behind Fling For All, a program for middle and high school students, he has been an inspiration and a great role model for all, as well as a phenomenal player.

World League FlingGolf's New Swarm Classic was aired by ESPN in August of 2022. The tournament included an Individual Championship and a Longest FlingShot Championship, with both competitions taking place at the American Classic Golf Club in Lewes, DE.

The West Virginia Tourism Office asked businesses and individuals around the state to submit their best ideas for a first-ever “Innovators Showdown” as a featured presentation at their annual Governor’s Tourism Conference. Of all the entrants, six were chosen to pitch their ideas after the opening session. One of those selected was Hampshire County resident, Jonathan Bellingham, whose submission was the growing sport of FlingGolf and how West Virginia is perfectly positioned to be the premier destination.
